Why Overthinking Doesn't Lead to Better Decisions
Mar. 31, 2026 12:00 p.m.
Many capable, responsible people assume that better decisions come from more analysis. In practice, overthinking often has the opposite effect, It reduces clarity, slows judgment, and increases second-guessing. This talk explores why overthinking shows up most often in conscientious leaders and professionals, how to recognize when thinking has crossed the line into mental noise, and what actually supports sound judgment under pressure. The focus is practical and accessible, with real-world examples rather than theory. |

PTSD Foundation of America
May 12, 2026 12:00 p.m.
The PTSD Foundation of America’s Dallas/Fort Worth chapter is one of five national outreach chapters dedicated to serving Veterans and their families. Locally, we provide comprehensive community-based support through Veteran and family peer-to-peer support groups, peer mentoring, and resource navigation services. Our mission is to ensure that no Veteran has to face their challenges alone. For male combat Veterans requiring a higher level of care, we offer access to Camp Hope, our interim housing and recovery program located in Houston, Texas. Camp Hope is a structured, 6–9 month program designed to support healing and long-term stability. As a faith-based, Christ-centered program, we integrate spiritual support into the recovery process. All services provided by the PTSD Foundation of America—including transportation to and from Camp Hope from anywhere in the country—are offered at no cost to Veterans and their families. |
